Be Content

"But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that."-1 Tim 6:6-8 NIV

As I was studying the Word yesterday with my Husband, I came across these verses that I have read time and time again but this time they leaped out of the pages at me. Paul is simply telling Timothy via letter (amongst other things) to BE CONTENT. We all want the best of everything but when do we stop seeking the pursuit of material items to realize enough is enough? What are we allowed to take with us when God calls us to return to the dust from whence we came?

Let me be the first to say that I myself have been guilty of this very offense BUT when you learn better, you do better. I challenge everyone today to look at what you do have and thank God (who is the ruler of ALL things) for allowing it to be so. Let us take our eyes off of earthly riches and rewards and make our focus the riches and glory in heaven.
Be blessed
