Broken...
Chipped... Cracked... Crumbling foundation... "...but, but, I mean I know the Master builder so why am I being roped off? Why is this caution tape being placed around me? I always know how to come back after things happen; I got this." We often unknowingly sit in a spiritual construction zone because we believe we have all the answers to life's difficult questions. What we don't realize is that we've worked our way into this place where the only one who can bring us out victorious is the same reason we're there. Many of us have been running the race for so long that we don't realize that our foundation has started to crumble. We've allowed others to dictate who God should be in our lives and clung onto their words for dear life without seeking God for ourselves. Many of their words were untrue and, It's caused us to want to give up and throw in the towel. I mean we've sat in Church for so long that we didn't realize we were caught up and losing fast. This is where God steps in and begins to work on us from the very depths of our souls. He takes his time making the necessary repairs to our hearts, body, and spirit. For some of us, He may start by completely starting from scratch and making us over. For others, he may need to strip away some layers and apply fresh oil to get us jumpstarted. God loves you and I so much that He is willing to do what it takes to ensure we are always in pristine condition. Just think about how He laid down His life in the physical form through Christ so that He can see us without sin. Did I just lose you? If I did, it might be time to learn more about Him. You may think you know all about Him so why do we need to have this discussion. Well, knowing who God is and knowing God for yourselves although they sound similar are two different things. You see one is your verbal admission that the Gospel has been shared with you at least once in your lifetime. The other requires you to have an intimate relationship with Him. Knowing Him for yourself is what will help to remove the yellow caution tape from your life and get you out of the construction zone. My only question is, are you ready?
