Dear Modern Day Church...

Disclaimer: I've battled with myself back and forth on whether or not I should complete this blog post because I was afraid of the comments and backlash it would bring but God has given us ALL the ability to speak in Holy Boldness. So here it goes without further interruption....

As one who has been a believer since birth, yet practicing for the last 10 years I have noticed enough heartbreak from within the Church. This observation is not biased as I have been a member amongst the black and white demographics.

Why must you consistently make believers feel like their blessing will be greater the more they sow in offering? I've seen members on the brink of homelessness give their last because they believe that it will get them a deluxe apartment in the sky. Where in God's Word is this promise? Apparently we must be reading two different versions of the Holy Bible! God cannot be bought. Let me say that again, GOD CANNOT BE BOUGHT!!! If it could be so, Cain's offering would have been just as acceptable as Abel's (Genesis 4:3-5.) Asking a member or visitor to sow $100, $50, $40, $25, or your best offering is NOT of God either. I have NEVER read of God holding an auction. (If you can find scripture reference i'll wait...) This is all a part of Law 27....(reading is indeed fundamental.)

Holding a title in Leadership does NOT warrant you the right to look down on anyone. My Bible tells me that ALL have sinned and fallen short (Romans 3:23), so how dare you think you are better than another individual. This was not and is not an example of Christ. (Read the synopsis of the Gospels if you don't believe.) People come to Church to receive healing in various forms, not to be judged. This behavior is TURNING SOULS FROM GOD, NOT TOWARDS HIM!!! People are running away from the Church at alarming rates because of this infantile behavior. Leadership, you are the seasoned Saints of the Most High God, you should govern yourselves accordingly in spirit and truth. Be of great character and integrity. For you are representatives of Christ ACT LIKE IT!

Saints, this is not the time to be fighting amongst one another for trivial stuff. (Eph 6:12) While we are doing these things satan is advancing in the war of the world. Yet the Word teaches us that Christ has already overcome  defeat of the wicked one but does that mean that our job as Christians is to be lax and just await the second coming in our walk? In 1 Thes 5 the Apostle Paul gave sound teaching as to how we are to live. We have got to do better. We can't simply take out a few scriptures and apply them to our lives when ALL scripture is applicable.

Over the last few days I've been faced with a tough question. "Had no one ever told me to believe in God, would I?" To answer the question my response would still be YES! Not because of the Church, but because GOD has always been real to me. He's been real from as far back as I can remember. This is why the state of the Modern Day Church hurts me so. (Yet, I understand all this is to be fulfilled) Do you understand that those who have transitioned over (Abraham, Moses, Apostle Paul, etc) are cheering us on from the Heavens as we are to do greater exploits then they have ever done? Where have we lost our way? I admonish each and every member in the Body of Christ to do some real self reflection and seek ye first the Kingdom, because we have got to do better!

Love you all and be blessed
