I remember when I first gave my life to Christ and became saved I didn't understand why it was sooooo hard to make a connection within the Body of Christ. At a time when I was introduced to a whole new life and family, I had never felt so alone in my life.
For the life of me I couldn't understand this feeling as I often thought maybe I wasn't saved enough. Maybe I was only playing Church. Maybe this Christian walk wasn't for me. I just didn't know. No matter how hard I tried to fit it, I felt more on the outskirts. It wasn't until years later that I begin to understand. As odd as it may sound, the goal wasn't for me to fit in and resemble the Body of believers. The goal was for me to resemble the life of Christ.
People can be fickle!!! They can make you feel alienated BUT you have to understand who you are and whose you are. Never let them allow you to lose focus on that alone. Live your life following the examples of Christ. (1 Pet 2) Love EVERYONE you come in contact with, exercise great patience with those who don't understand, and NEVER be afraid to walk in the gifting that God has given you in spite of who chooses to listen.
