For the last few days I have been listening for and to the voice of God for complete clarity on my next post. What started out as a subject People, Changes and Seasons gradually changed as you can see.
What are you afraid of in this place called life? What is your greatest fear? Well, I can’t question you without sharing my fear. My greatest fear is that life will have passed me by and I won’t have enjoyed it. I spend so much time out of the day contemplating my next move that I don’t even realize hours, days, weeks, months, and years have passed. It often feels like I’m moving in a trance from one day to the next. Too repetitious! (Now, I did that just now to illustrate a point. We often get so caught up in our own pity parties that we forget about the promises of God.)
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?-Numbers 23:19 KJV
When did God begin to negate His promises? (I’ll wait while you search scripture.) He has no reason to. He’s God like that! We delay our promises by failure to believe or lack of faith. We allow our natural eye to dictate what we as Christians should see in the spiritual. (For we walk by faith, not by sight:-2 Cor 5:7) Hence forth this allows us to live in fear day to day.
I cannot stress enough how much we allow fear to control our lives. It paralyzes us, we cannot move forward or go back, we literally become stuck in one place. Where was this written in God’s design? (I’ll wait while you search this scripture too.) We can talk about Hebrews 11 to illustrate the point of how faith works but I think I understanding that fear is already defeated just like Satan would be best.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.-1 Tim 1:7 KJV
Did that just resonate with you? God hath not given us a spirit of fear? Wait, so how are you fearful? God did that not place that inside of you. Whatever your fears are decree and declare today that YOU ARE GREATER THAN THEM ALL! Take 1 Tim 1:7 with you and speak it over your life as you awaken, as your go throughout your day, and before bed at night. Fret not, God has your life in His hands and with that you shall never have to be afraid.
