"You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them.
Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry."-2 Tim 3:10-11; 4:2-5 NIV
Paul wrote unto Timothy here letting Him know that no matter what He is to continue forth in what God has equipped him to do. Take Timothy's name out and insert yours there! (Yes, I understand Timothy was called to this ministry but so were each and every one of us.) As a believer God is asking us to do the same thing. The Great Commission called us ALL to preach the Gospel to the four corners of the earth. You have not sat in Church Sunday after Sunday, month after month, and year after year to keep this information to yourself.
Scarily enough, I see Christians boldly declaring war on family, friend, and foe on social media yet a select few are willing to teach or share that which God has revealed through the reading of His word. Let me say this and make it clear, as a believer your first title is servant! That means whatever God directs you to say and do, you are to do just that. How dare you do EVERYTHING your employer says without a rebuttal but when God speaks you become skeptical? Your employer may sign or stamp your check but God is the lifter of your head daily. Doesn't He deserve more respect?
Sorry, I kind of lost topic but I believe that we are better than this! We have forgotten the true calling of being a believer and that is to go forth and declare that which this world needs to hear. Like Paul said "be prepared in season or out of season." That was indication right there that there will be times that what you have to say will not be favorable but you speak it anyhow. As long as what you say is the directive of God, you need not defend it, you just speak it BOLDY. So today I challenge you and ask going forward, HOW BOLD ARE YOU???
